Albany, Georgia & COVID-19

Southwest Georgia is one of two demographics for Gaines-Jones Scholars—the San Francisco Bay Area being the other. Besides being the birthplace of Gaines-Jones co-founder & Executive Director, Anita Jones Roehrick, Albany, GA has recently been in national news as an epicenter for COVID-19.  Another Albany native, journalist and documentary filmmaker, Clennon King of AugustineMonica Films, produced this short video to shed light on the very dire situation in southwest Georgia.
