Created in 2004, and based in Northern California, Gaines-Jones Scholars awards college scholarships to Black students in southwest Georgia and the San Francisco Bay Area. In this new video, co-founders Rob and Anita Jones Roehrick share stories of the organization’s origins and mission. They are joined by their daughter and Advisory Board member, Miranda, and Gaines-Jones Scholars in Georgia: Akerian, Dervin, James, Javon; and in California: Mayana and Yoel.
