Mentoring Camron ~ Fledgling Poet

November 30, 2017: Berkeley Public Library, Kittredge & Shattuck
Camron is an 8th grader who has only been writing poetry since the beginning of summer. He says, “I’ve always felt more comfortable in my dreams and my first poem came to me in a dream; so I wrote it down.” Lucky for us poetry found Camron because he has a natural talent for the art and is now excited to learn as much as he can about the craft. This marks the beginning of a one-on-one mentorship to revise several of his poems for poetry contests. Camron is raising money for his 8th grade trip to New York and Washington, DC spring 2018—and in the process is finding his voice through verse.
